Abstract

Paying attention to the limited battery energy of the sensor nodes, one of the design challenges of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), is to balance the energy consumption which results in enhanced network lifetime. In this research, we in addition to clustering sensor nodes, with the help of how to transfer data from the cluster head to the sink, energy consumption Significantly We have reduced. On the other hand, the best-known solution for the most critical problem of wireless sensor networks, which is the Hot spot or energy-hole problem, is the use of a mobile sink. The proposed method used two mobile sinks, one of them moving in a specific area and the other in the whole network environment. Using the prioritized Random Way Point (RWP) mobility model, two mobile sinks choose a suitable place in the network environment and move to it, taking into account parameters such as dense area and dense cluster head. Also, to avoid frequent advertisements of the current location of the sink, we have considered location-aware cluster heads to save the updated position of two mobile sinks.the results of the evaluations show that the proposed method shows higher efficiency compared to similar algorithms in terms of network lifetime, residual energy of nodes, number of sent packets, network coverage and overhead. And finally, on average the proposed method has improved about 8% in all parameters.
